About Wrigley’s / Dunn’s

Wrigley’s Garage is seeking an A-Level Automotive Technician to join its established operation in Shabbona, IL. The shops have served their communities for years, with Wrigley’s purchased in 2015 and Dunn’s in 2022.

This is a small-shop environment built around accountability, collaboration, excellence, integrity, and professionalism. You’ll work with a team that values accurate diagnostics, quality repairs, strong communication, and technicians who take pride in their craft.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose drivability, electrical, and performance concerns.
• Identify root causes and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Perform heavy-line automotive repair work.
• Use Autel and Snap-on scan tools along with service information systems.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with service advisors and fellow technicians to keep work moving.
• Stay current with evolving automotive technology through continued training.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional automotive technician experience.
• A-Level automotive repair and diagnostic capability.
• Strong advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Proven ability to perform heavy-line repair work.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Positive, professional approach and a passion for the automotive industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Electrical diagnostic experience is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• $35-$50/hour hybrid/flexible pay structure
