
Vice President of Business Development, Southeast
Location: Southeast Region (Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina)
Our client is a rapidly growing healthcare services organization focused on improving clinical outcomes and delivering value-based solutions throughout the post-acute care continuum. The company partners with skilled nursing, senior living, and other healthcare providers nationwide and is experiencing significant growth across multiple markets. One of the Nation's largest provider of primary care for SNF and SL.
Due to continued expansion, the organization is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to lead growth initiatives throughout the Southeast region.
The Vice President of Business Development, Southeast will be responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. This individual will lead a regional business development team while personally developing executive-level relationships with skilled nursing and senior living operators throughout the region.
This is a highly visible leadership position that combines sales leadership, strategic partnership development, market expansion, and direct revenue generation. The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the growth leadership team and play a critical role in the organization's continued expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Growth Strategy
Develop and execute regional growth plans aligned with company objectives.
Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities throughout the Southeast.
Drive expansion within existing accounts while securing new business relationships.
Maintain accountability for regional growth, revenue, and market penetration goals.
Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning and forecasting initiatives.
Business Development
Build and maintain relationships with owners, CEOs, COOs, Presidents, and other executive decision-makers.
Lead complex sales processes and enterprise-level partnership discussions.
Negotiate and close multi-site and regional agreements.
Represent the organization at industry conferences, networking events, and trade associations.
Develop and execute strategies to penetrate large operator groups and regional healthcare organizations.
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop a regional business development team consisting of Directors and Business Development Representatives.
Establish performance expectations and accountability metrics.
Assist team members with complex opportunities and strategic accounts.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and development of future business development talent.
Foster a high-performance, collaborative sales culture.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with operations, clinical, implementation, and executive leadership teams.
Ensure successful transition and onboarding of new clients.
Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to leadership.
Assist in developing sales strategies, messaging, and growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
7+ years of healthcare business development, sales leadership, or growth experience.
Proven success leading teams and driving regional growth initiatives.
Experience managing complex sales cycles and executive-level relationships.
Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to exceed revenue and growth objectives.
Preferred
Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience strongly preferred.
Senior Living experience highly desirable.
Existing relationships with post-acute care operators throughout the Southeast.
Experience selling services, healthcare solutions, or value-based programs into provider organizations.
Background leading Directors, Regional Sales Leaders, or similar management-level professionals.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare growth leader who understands the post-acute care landscape and can effectively balance strategic leadership with direct business development responsibilities. This individual should be comfortable engaging with C-suite operators, developing high-performing teams, and identifying creative ways to accelerate growth throughout the region.
Travel
This position requires regular travel throughout the Southeast region for client meetings, industry events, team development, and strategic business initiatives.
