Qualifications

Examples of Important Job Tasks:

  • Coordinate the implementation of the OCHIN EPIC EHR project, including project activities, timelines, milestones, deliverables, meetings, and follow-up items.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, work plans, action-item lists, issue logs, decision logs, and other project management tools necessary to track implementation progress.
  • Coordinate with OCHIN/vendor staff and internal County teams to support implementation activities, including workflow development, system configuration, testing, training, data and system integration, and go-live readiness.
  • Review existing Public Health systems, processes, and workflows and identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, and integration within OCHIN EPIC.
  • Work with clinical, administrative, and informatics staff to document current-state and future-state workflows and identify changes needed to support implementation.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between clinical/program staff, informatics, IT, leadership, and vendor representatives to ensure project needs, decisions, and concerns are clearly communicated and addressed.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, barriers, dependencies, and implementation issues; coordinate resolution or escalate issues to appropriate project leadership.
  • Prepare regular project status updates for supervisors, leadership, and other stakeholders, including progress toward milestones, outstanding issues, upcoming activities, and areas requiring decisions.
  • Coordinate and support user acceptance testing, workflow validation, system readiness activities, and go-live preparation.
  • Work with vendor and internal staff to develop, organize, and coordinate training content and implementation resources for Public Health staff.
  • Support staff education and change management by helping staff understand new workflows, procedures, system functionality, and responsibilities associated with the EPIC implementation.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical/program staff, informatics/IT staff, and OCHIN/vendor representatives, helping translate operational needs into project requirements and helping communicate technical changes to end users.
  • Coordinate efforts to integrate OCHIN EPIC across multiple Public Health divisions and programs, identifying cross-divisional dependencies and opportunities for standardized processes.
  • Document implementation processes, workflows, decisions, and lessons learned and recommend policies, procedures, and operational changes needed to support successful implementation and ongoing use of OCHIN EPIC.
  • Assist with troubleshooting system and workflow issues during implementation and coordinate with appropriate technical, vendor, and operational staff to resolve problems.
  • Support post-go-live stabilization activities, including tracking outstanding issues, coordinating follow-up with OCHIN/vendor staff, documenting lessons learned, and identifying opportunities for continued improvement.
  • Perform other related project coordination and implementation duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED.

License or Certificate:

Requires possession of a valid Oregon driver's license and a good driving record.
