CONTRACT MANAGER – INTERFACE

Location: Melbourne

Your Role

As a Contract Manager – Interface, you’ll be a key point of
contact for the IDT – Project Commercial & Cost team, providing strategic
contract management, commercial guidance and interface coordination across
major project delivery packages.

You’ll:

  • Oversee the end-to-end
    contract lifecycle including contract administration, compliance,
    negotiation, reporting and risk management.
  • Provide strategic
    contractual advice to project delivery teams to support positive
    commercial outcomes and maximise contract value.
  • Lead the management of
    variations, extensions of time, claims and dispute resolution activities.
  • Collaborate with internal
    stakeholders, contractors and legal teams to ensure alignment with
    contractual obligations and project objectives.
  • Monitor contract
    performance, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to support
    successful project delivery.
  • Support the integration
    and management of contractual interfaces across multiple project packages.
  • Develop and maintain
    contract management plans, templates, procedures and reporting frameworks.
  • Contribute to continuous
    improvement initiatives and support the development of best practice
    contract management processes.
  • Support and mentor other
    contract administration team members to deliver high quality commercial
    outcomes.
  • Champion a collaborative,
    safety-first and results-driven culture across the project.

You’ll Need

  • Demonstrated experience in
    contract management and commercial governance within major infrastructure,
    construction or engineering projects.
  • Tertiary qualifications in
    Engineering, Law, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of
    contract management principles, commercial administration and risk
    management practices within complex project environments.
  • Proven experience managing
    contract variations, claims, negotiations and stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal
    communication skills, including the ability to interpret and articulate
    contractual positions clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to
    influence stakeholders and build collaborative working relationships
    across all levels.
  • Experience working within
    regulated environments and across complex delivery interfaces is highly
    regarded.
  • Experience in Incentive
    Target Cost (ITC) contract management is desirable.
  • Experience in project cost
    control and performance reporting is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft
    Office Suite and experience using document management systems such as
    InEight, TeamBinder or similar Electronic Document and Records Management
    Systems (EDRMS).
  • A high level of computer
    literacy.

About Marinus Link

Marinus Link is a new undersea and underground electricity and data interconnector between North West Tasmania and the Latrobe Valley in Victoria.

The two-way energy highway will enable Tasmania and Victoria to share much more electricity, pairing Victoria’s wind and solar with Tasmania’s flexible hydropower system and geographically diverse wind. This is a powerful synergy that strengthens the grid for both states.

Marinus Link's fibre optic cables will improve digital connectivity between Tasmania and Victoria by 150 times.

Marinus Link Pty Ltd (MLPL) is jointly owned by the Commonwealth of Australia, the State of Tasmania and the State of Victoria. MLPL is responsible for progressing the Marinus Link interconnector project.
