The Boeing Company is seeking a Regulatory Administration and Airworthiness Manager to oversee employees performing engineering and technical activities as part of Regulatory Administration – 777X Development Programs in Everett, WA.

In this role the selected manager will oversee employee activities associated with securing the amended type certificate for the 777-9 development program, while providing support as needed to the 777-8F.

This position supports adherence to the ODA procedures manual and associated processes as well as regulatory agency requirements in support of Airplane Program business goals and is a functional leader to the 777X Development Programs team.

This position interfaces with the following teams, in addition to others: Integrated Product Teams, Regulatory Administration Functional leadership, 777X Program, Product Development, FAA and EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency). This position also partners with Core Engineering on process requirements and implementation. Collaboration across other Regulatory Administration programs is a regular activity.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with regulators, customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett, WA. Some travel maybe required as business needs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Experience performing systems engineering activities in full systems engineering lifecycle
  • Aircraft Certification experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Pay Range: $151,300 - $204,700
