The Moye School, a Catholic classical school based in Castroville, TX (20 minutes west of San Antonio) seeks a middle school classical teacher to join our faculty. This position is well suited to an educator who is deeply formed in the content and method of classical education, particularly in English/ Language Arts and History, and who desires to teach within the rich intellectual and spiritual tradition of the Catholic Church.
The Moye School is a Catholic classical school dedicated to forming students in wisdom and virtue through a rigorous liberal arts education rooted in the life of the Church. The Moye School is in a period of intentional growth. During the first year, this position will focus exclusively on 6th grade instruction. In subsequent years, as the school adds one grade level at a time, the scope of the role is expected to expand accordingly, offering the opportunity to teach additional grades and to help shape the developing middle school program.
This position is especially well suited to a teacher who is excited to help build something enduring and who desires a long-term role within a growing Catholic classical school.
The Mission and the Role
At The Moye School, education is understood as the formation of wise and virtuous men and women with truth, goodness, and beauty forming our core curriculum. The 6th grade classical teacher will play a vital role in this mission by guiding students through a pivotal first year of classical pedagogy. The teacher will work closely alongside the Headmaster, Dr. Kenneth Rohrbach, and will teach in a collegial, mission-driven environment marked by clarity of purpose, strong faculty collaboration, and a shared commitment to Catholic classical education.

Minimum Qualifications
A) in English and/or History, B) with 18 credit hours in content area taught. 12 credit hours in education courses or a valid, appropriate state certificate, as outlined in the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department standards.

Work Location: In person
