6th Form Study Supervisor

September 2026 start - Term Time only + INSET (39 weeks)

Mon – Fri 35 hours per week

Salary - SC4 (pts 8 – 10): £32,442 - £33,384 pa, pro rata

actual salary £28,027-£28,840 pa (pay award pending)

Are you passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential? Sydenham School is seeking a proactive, organised and approachable Sixth Form Study Supervisor to join our vibrant and inclusive sixth form team.

We are seeking a dedicated and organised individual to join our team as a Sixth Form Study Supervisor. This role involves overseeing - students in the Sixth Form area, ensuring a purposeful and focused learning environment at all times.

You'll monitor attendance and engagement, track academic progress by collecting evidence, liaising with teachers and tutors, maintaining progress logs and identifying students who need additional intervention. You'll provide guidance and support to students where needed, and promote high standards of behaviour and independent study within the sixth form centre. You will also play a key role in maintaining a calm, structured atmosphere and upholding expectations that encourage academic success, whilst supporting the smooth running of the sixth form provision, including general administration.

In addition, the role includes supporting general sixth form administration, working closely with staff to ensure the smooth running of the provision. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is proactive, approachable, and committed to supporting young people in achieving their full potential.
