Position Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the quality of health care in Florida.
We are seeking to hire a Senior Human Services Program Specialist who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program.
This position requires a candidate who is creative, flexible, innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team based work environment.
This position is located in the Bureau of Medicaid Provider Services (MPS).
MPS serves as a primary point of contact for enrolled Medicaid providers with questions and concerns about Medicaid.
This position is responsible for planning and conducting on-site New Provider Enrollment Reviews and validating re-enrollment reviews of current Medicaid providers to determine if they meet Medicaid provider enrollment requirements.
Verifies professional licenses, business tax receipt, and lease information, among other information.
Researches Internet to determine/verify business status and ownership (e.g. State of Florida Division of Corporations website and corporate websites).
Submits findings and recommendations to Medicaid Provider Enrollment for further action.
Coordinates with Medicaid providers, Headquarters staff, and SMMC plans as needed to research and resolve assigned Medicaid Provider Enrollment and Site Visit-related issues and documents their activities in the complaint module, per current protocols.
Represents the Agency on Government and Community partnerships, Medicaid overview presentations, secret shopper events, transportation boards, community alliances, interagency agreement teams, local planning groups, and HIV planning councils as assigned by the Field Office Manager (FOM) or Program Administrator (PA).
Performs other duties as assigned.
This position requires travel.

Preference will be given to the applicant that has:
