TITLE: Print Technician B

POSITION OBJECTIVE: To review and notify appropriate personnel of any discrepancies between quantities and ship for resolution on indicated reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school graduate
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Good math skills
• Knowledge of flexo printing process
• Ability to differentiate colors
• PC knowledge
• Management may waive qualifications
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interaction

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Safety-complies with written and verbal safety rules of plant and department
• Other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor
• General cleaning of equipment and work area
• Maintenance of equipment
• Produce print plates
• Maintains ink supply/random ink testing
• Receives repeat/order information and revised reports
• Offset art number in AS400
• File prep for orders and negatives
• Plate distribution
• Forklift operation

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
• Ability to read tape measurement, digital displays, etc.
• Inside, protected from weather
• Temperature controlled
• May or may not be temperature controlled
• Subject to noise, moving machinery, and/or electrical currents
• Possible exposure to some chemicals, gases, high heat and/or ultraviolet lighting
• Subject to unregulated atmospheric conditions caused by odors and dusts

TRAINING:
• Per Master Training Plan

AUTHORITY / DECISION MAKING:
• Authority to make decisions pertaining to the department and as directed in accordance with the delegation of Authority procedure in the absence of the manager.
• Authority to make decisions and authorize signature in approval areas pertaining to the department as directed and deemed appropriate by the manager
• Available for these tasks assigned by management in their absence

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICES & SOFTWARE:
• Exposure Unit
• Resin Reclaim unit
• Washout unit
• Post ex unit
• Micrometer
• Zahn cup
• Forklift

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
• Ascending, descending ladders and stairs
• Stooping, bending of spine and waist
• Kneeling and bending of legs at knees
• Sitting and standing for sustained periods of time
• Walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, extending hands and arms in any direction
• Lifting (not to exceed 50 pounds)
• Fingering typing with fingers
• Applying pressure to an object with fingers, palms, wrist, hands and arms
• Ability to hear and talk by means of spoken word (via face to face or telephone)
• Ability to differentiate colors
