Job Description

A Malaysia-based manufacturing company specializing in custom-engineered elastomer and plastic sealing components for industrial applications.

Objective:

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing Quality Control (QC) inspection activities within the manufacturing site to ensure products meet customer specifications and company quality standards. This role supervises QC inspectors, manages inspection priorities, monitors quality issues, and supports continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
The Quality Supervisor works closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues, maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), and improve overall manufacturing quality performance.

  • Supervise daily QC inspection activities including incoming, in-process, and final productinspections.
  • Ensure inspections are conducted according to procedures, engineering drawings, and customer specifications.
  • Review and verify inspection documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCR), customer complaints, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities for non-conforming materials and customer returns.
  • Monitor key quality metrics such as scrap, defects, and inspection results to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead and support QC inspectors, including training, guidance, and cross-training.
  • Maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection records in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Support internal quality audits and maintain compliance with **ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection and testing equipment.
  • Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues and support process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Diploma or equivalent experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing quality inspection, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with **ISO 9001 Quality Management System and basic Lean manufacturing practices is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and product specifications.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform moderate walking and occasional climbing.
  • Physically capable of conducting inspections and handling inspection equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds when required.
  • The role requires regular standing, sitting, bending, and stooping during the course of work.
  • Reliable and consistent attendance is required
