Job Description

Established in 1996, the company operates within the manufacturing sector, focusing on precision-machined components and assemblies. It is a subsidiary of a publicly listed Singaporean company with annual revenues exceeding USD 140 million. The company specializes in bar-machining work ranging from 0.4 to 50mm in diameters. Its manufacturing facility is located in Ulu Tiram, Johor, Malaysia. The company serves diverse market sectors, including imaging and printing, domestic appliances, consumer electronics, data storage, machinery, automotive systems, and telecommunications. As of 2023, it employs approximately 500 staff members.

• Researching and sourcing suppliers for required goods and services.
• Negotiating prices, terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.
• Issuing purchase orders and tracking their status.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with current and potential suppliers.
• Evaluating supplier performance based on quality, price, and delivery time.
• Coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Working closely with other departments such as finance, operations, and production to understand their requirements and ensure timely procurement of materials.
• Addressing any procurement-related issues or delays in the supply chain.

Job Requirements

•  Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
• Previous experience (usually 1-3 years) in a procurement, purchasing, or supply chain role, though some entry-level positions may be available for fresh graduates.
• Experience in vendor management, purchase order processing, and inventory control can be advantageous.
