TITLE: QC Technician B
POSITION OBJECTIVE: The quality Control Technician is responsible for executing the quality control testing to achieve established standards of production, safety, and housekeeping. This is done primarily by training, operating, and maintaining the Q.C. testing such that customer satisfaction of product is maximized.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• H.S. graduate or equivalent.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good statistical analytical skills.
• Personal computer knowledge.
• 1 year or more quality assurance experience.
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Report directly to the Supervisor and keep the shift supervisor informed of extruder line conditions and changes.
• Promotes the safe use of equipment and adherence to the plant safety rules.
• Interact, as instruct, with maintenance to minimize the time required for equipment repairs on Q.C. equipment.
• Keep the main focus on quality.
• Perform product quality assurance testing in accordance with ASTM established procedures on finished product.
• Inspect the finished product for quality problem.
• Keep necessary Q.C. records of production, conditions, and rates as instructed.
• Other assignment.
• Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
• Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
• Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions not necessarily temperature conditions.
• Outside environmental conditions, no effective protection from weather.
• Subject to extreme cold, temperatures below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
• Subject to extreme heat, temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
• Subject to noise causing reason to shout in order to be heard above the noise level.
