Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Penang, Malaysia


A precision manufacturing leader specializing in high-quality components for various industries, this company is known for its advanced CNC machining capabilities. They are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to oversee and improve CNC operations, ensuring production efficiency and product quality.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, validate, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, ensuring efficient and accurate machining processes.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines, producing precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during mass production and new product introduction (NPI), ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Collaborate closely with the quality control team to ensure all parts meet required standards and specifications.
  • Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address machining and production-related issues.
  • Continuously improve CNC programming and machining processes to enhance output efficiency and product quality.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or CAD/CAM Manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in CNC programming, with strong knowledge of Mastercam and 3 & 5 Axis Vertical Milling processes.
  • Hands-on experience in setting up and operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
