6 months Research Assistant at Department of Political and Social Sciences - Pompeu Fabra University (Reference CPIS-PSR-2023-07)

Project: REACT Research-Action against Antigypsyism and Anti-Muslim Discrimination: An Intersectional Approach to Deconstruct Institutional Racism in Schools.

Research line of the contract: Sociology, ethnic and racial studies, ethnographic methods

Functions:

The research assistant will work under the supervision of Zenia Hellgren.

Tasks:

  • Support in research management
  • Support in data collection and analysis
  • Work cooperatively with the PI, and any other research team members
  • Engage in research project public activities

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • PhD in sociology or political science
  • Experience of working with vulnerable populations
  • Documented expertise (publications) in issues related to ethnic diversity and education
  • Good understanding of ethical and emotional issues in fieldwork
  • Experience in project management and coordination
  • Manage multiple activities simultaneously, efficiently and on-time, and be able to meet deadlines. Excellent written and spoken languages skills in English. Catalan and or/Spanish are desirable.
