This position is for a full-time foreign language teacher at the Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico 6-12 Campus.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
2. Valid Illinois teaching certificate
3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable
Reports To: Building Principal

Performance Responsibilities:
Instructional Leadership:
Plan and deliver lessons that align with district curriculum and educational standards.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student learning and well-being.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles.
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to meet individual needs.
Promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning.
Integrate technology and other innovative tools to enhance instruction.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement instructional strategies.
Student Development:
Foster a supportive and respectful classroom culture that encourages student participation and collaboration.

Assessment and Evaluation:
Design and administer formative and summative assessments to gauge student understanding and progress.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and classroom activities.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other school events.

Terms of Employment: 180 days, as determined by the school calendar. Salary and benefits in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated by Building Administration.
