The fifth grade teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and academically rigorous classroom that supports students' academic, social, emotional, and physical growth. The teacher plans and delivers instruction aligned with the Michigan Academic Standards, monitors student progress, collaborates with families and colleagues, and prepares students for a successful transition to middle school. This version is condensed while remaining consistent with the original Kindergarten posting.
SALARY: Per Atherton Education Association contract

GISD serves a region with nearly 66,000 students and 8,500 educators. Its primary service area consists of the 21 public school districts and 15 public school academies (charter schools) in Genesee County, Michigan. Other services extend to Lapeer, Shiawassee, and surrounding counties.
