As a 511 Alberta Officer, you'll be part of the team ensuring that timely updates reach travellers through our website, app, phone system, and social media. Your decisions and communication directly influence safety, mobility, and peace of mind across the province. This is fast-paced, meaningful work that matters—every single shift.
As a 511 Alberta Officer you’ll analyze incoming information, coordinate with field and emergency teams, and deliver real-time updates to the public. Your ability to think critically, communicate clearly, and respond rapidly will be key to ensuring accurate and trustworthy messaging. Whether responding to traffic disruptions or weather-related events, you’ll play a vital role in shaping how Alberta moves.

This is a rotational shift-based position, including evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays, as part of a 24/7 operation. Flexibility is essential, especially during major incidents or weather events.

Term of employment: Full time, Permanent.
Hours of work: 36.25 hours per week, scheduled on a rotational basis to support 24/7 operations. Shifts include: 6:45 AM – 3:28 PM, 2:45 PM – 11:28 PM, and 10:45 PM – 7:28 AM. This includes evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
Location: Edmonton, Alberta.

The final candidates for this position will be asked to undergo an academic check, references, may need to provide a suitable security screening and may be asked to complete a written exercise and/or assessment.
