Job Description

• Represent the company in global industry standards bodies across storage protocols, security, and system interoperability.
• Serve in leadership roles, including chairing plenary sessions and working-group meetings
• Develop, review, and present technical proposals, standards contributions, and meeting agendas to multi-vendor audiences.
• Ensure compliance with organizational governance, procedural, and antitrust requirements during all standards engagements.
• Act as the primary liaison with standards organizations, managing ballots, reviews, and multi-cycle deliverables.
• Participate in OCP and other data center storage relevant standards organization, including data security and thermals/acoustics.

• Lead internal alignment and coordinate company feedback on draft specifications across multiple standards ecosystems.
• Evaluate the technical impact of proposed changes on command sets, device behavior, and system-level requirements.
• Clearly communicate risks, trade-offs, and implementation considerations to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Track specification evolution, ensuring continuity across revisions, open issues, and long-term development cycles.

• Facilitate technical discussions across multiple companies, geographies, and engineering disciplines to drive consensus.
• Coordinate internally across Japan product planning, R&D, firmware, architecture, legal, and business teams to ensure consistent technical positions.
• Organize agendas, action items, and follow-ups for complex, multi-party engagements.
• Translate detailed technical discussions into concise executive-level summaries with clear decisions and next steps.

• Define and maintain industry standards strategy aligned with product roadmaps and long-term business objectives.
• Ensure adherence to corporate governance, approval processes, and compliance requirements in all external engagements.
• Manage long-running initiatives and action items across multiple standards groups, ensuring accountability and progress tracking.

• Deep expertise in storage systems, hardware, protocols, and interoperability standards
• Proven leadership in multi-company, standards-driven environments
• Strong ability to influence and build consensus across competing stakeholders
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations
• Ability to balance technical depth with strategic business and organizational considerations
