Operating under the direction of the School Principal, the High School Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging, rigorous instruction aligned with state standards and content-area and district expectations The teacher fosters a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and positive behavior. Responsibilities include assessing student progress, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and maintaining clear communication with students and families. The teacher collaborates with colleagues and administrators to support and encourage student success.

Other Duties
This position will have 2 sections of high school English, the remainder of the day will be time to coordinate, communicate, and oversee 504 plans at GJHS.

Acceptable demonstration of acceptable education and/or experience will be at the sole discretion of the District.

Salary & Benefits:
Teacher Base Pay Salary Schedule Range:
$50,765 - $105,998 based on one (1) FTE at one hundred eighty eight (188) days.
Hiring Range for External Candidates:
$50,765 - $87,145
*Teachers are initially placed according to experience. Teachers new to the District may be granted up to 15 years of experience, provided the experience occurred within the last 20 years in accordance with the MVEA Agreement.
