The Kodiak Island Borough School District has the following vacancy for the 2026-2027 school year:
4 th Grade Elementary Teacher 1.0 FTE Main Elementary
Qualifications: Applicants must have, or be able to obtain, a State of Alaska Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement(s).

We proudly serve approximately 2,400 students in PreK through grade 12. In town, we have one high school, one middle school, four elementary schools, and one Homeschool/Correspondence Study Program. Our outlying villages have K-12 schools in Akhiok, Chiniak, Old Harbor, Ouzinkie, and Port Lions.
We offer numerous distance-delivered courses as enhancements to our curriculum. In addition, special education and English language acquisition services are provided to qualified students.
