Maintenance Mechanic / Licensed Millwright

Pay: $38–$40/hr + up to .50-$2.50/hr shift premium (up to $42.50/hr)
Schedule: Day/Afternoon Rotating (Monthly Rotation)
Status: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Mississauga, ON
Start Date: 2–4 Weeks

Shift Schedule

This is a rotating Day/Afternoon position:

2 Weeks – Day Shift
Mon–Sat | 7:00am – 3:00pm (5-6 days per week)

2 Weeks – Afternoon Shift
Mon–Fri | 5:00pm – 1:00am or 3:00am
(5 days per week depending on production schedule)

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, licensed Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright with 5+ years of manufacturing experience to join a growing production team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an automated environment, enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, and takes pride in keeping production lines running at peak efficiency.

You will report to the Maintenance Manager and play a critical role in maintaining equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Respond to daily equipment breakdowns and building-related issues.

  • Install, upgrade, and maintain equipment, including conveyors, palletizers, wrappers, sub-floor lines, foam lines, and CNC routers.

  • Conduct routine equipment checks, identify issues, and report damages or repair needs.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and motion-related problems with minimal supervision.

  • Follow all company policies for health, safety, environmental, and legal compliance.

  • Support team development through training and collaboration.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in plant, warehouse, or manufacturing environments.

  • Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and identify parts.

  • Skilled in troubleshooting, repairs, fabrication/welding, installation, and basic machining.

  • Strong understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics; knowledge of electromechanical systems (motors, sensors, drives) is an asset.

  • 433A Millwright Trade license required.

  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move objects with no physical limitations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Fast learner with knowledge of continuous improvement practices.

  • Able to work independently and in a medium-paced team environment.

  • Focused on maintaining high line efficiency, as bonuses are tied to performance.

  • Strong hands-on problem-solving skills
