JOB SUMMARY:
Moody Brews/Blossoms supervisor will assist in executing store operations during scheduled shift. As a Supervisor, you will deploy staff and delegate tasks to create 4 diamond experiences for our guests.
POSITION AUTHORITY:
The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below.
POSITION GUIDELINES:
Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives.  The incumbent is expected to exercise sound, reasonable judgment and initiative, and give high priority to accuracy and details in the performance of job responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
- Anticipates guest and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and guests for cues.
- Communicates information to managers so that the team can respond as necessary to changing needs
- Assists with new employee training by giving encouraging coaching as needed.
- Delivers great guest service by acting with a “customer comes first” attitude and connecting with the guests
- Follows all operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security to ensure the safety of all employees
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Maintains minimum standard of inventory of all items as necessary during the shift.
- Any and all other duties as assigned; duties are subject to change as management deems necessary to best serve the needs of Moody Gardens
- Completes Monthly inventories in a timely matter
- Creates schedules, controls overtime,
- Responsible for food safety and cleanliness of outlets
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Customer service experience required
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of retail strongly desired
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Must be reliable and responsible
- Ability to read, write and speak English to communicate effectively
- Ability to exercise judgment in evaluating situations and making sound decisions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to remain on feet standing or walking for entire shift
- Ability to perform tasks that involve reaching, bending, turning, and stooping
