
At Wabash,Welding Coordinators perform a variety of tasks depending on specificsite or department needsWelding Coordinatorsplay a crucial role in maintainingweld quality, assisting team membersand assuring the manufacturing processes flow smoothlyThey are expected to produce high-quality work while upholding production standardsWelding Coordinators are required to pass Qualification Weld Tests and, if needed, Certification Tests depending on site needs. Applicants thatdo not pass the initial Weld Test can be qualified by attending the Wabash Weld School (internal training and testing), demonstrating that they can pass the Wabash Weld Test after training. Certification Tests will be administered as needed, per site specific criteria.

Experience and education are great to come into this position with. However, it’s not required, here at Wabash, we give you the training to become comfortable in any Welding Coordinator position. Upon receiving an offer letter from us, you’ll undergo orientation and several days of training, preparing you for the production floor.

Physical Demands
As a Welding Coordinator, you are regularly required to stand, walk, lean, push,climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle and operatetools or controls for the length of their entire shift. The employee needs full range of motion in their arms and hands in this position. All Welding Coordinators must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as wellSome Welding Coordinators also work in small spaces throughout their shift and frequently lift and/or carry objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, along with good hand-eye coordination
