We currently have an opening for a Shipping Team Lead in our Troy, Ohio location.

In this position, the successful candidate will perform the following job responsibilities:

  • Safety of personnel, quality and security of product.
  • Lead, delegate, and motivate employees.
  • Keep the shipping docks, warehouse areas, staging area (s), and all storage areas in a clear, orderly, and safe manner. Instruct loaders, material handlers and equipment operators on the safe handling of materials.
  • Verify all outgoing product. Ensure inventory is being rotated.
  • Manage inventory by properly handling, staging and shipping finished goods.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects and formulate recommendations to improve product flow and appropriate equipment. Implement identified safety, quality, and productivity initiatives.
  • Select, train, coach, counsel, and discipline employees as needed. Monitor employee performance.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures and document appropriately.
  • Accomplish staging, shipping and organization mission by completing related reports as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, some college preferred, along with a minimum of 3-5 year’s experience in leading a team in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Experience in all job tasks and duties with the assigned department.
  • Ability to read production documents.
  • Ability to identify different parts, products, etc.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as a forklift, electric pallet jack, crane, etc.
  • Basic computer skills are required with a familiarity of Microsoft Office Products.
