/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

  • Review rejects from both incoming quality inspection and production floor.
  • Investigate critical quality issues, create problem statements and communicate to the cross-functional team.
  • Manage and coordinate the containment activities (sorting/rework) to minimize the impact on production operations due to quality issues.
  • Support problem solving and continuous improvement projects.
  • Coordinate the disposition of Process Change Notifications and Deviations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position will greatly help manage and disposition Process Change Notifications and Deviations. It is a critical role and the catalyst to gathering cross functional teams together to resolve issues. It is a time sensitive role to mitigate the production downtime risk due to quality issues. It will greatly improve the morale of team via reducing the overload of work from others in this role.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Years of experience: 0-2 years in the manufacturing industry.
  • Degree requirement: Bachelor’s degree or Associate's degree
  • Master's Degree is overqualified.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Data collection analysis
  • Problem solving and critical thinking
  • Blueprint reading
  • Gages and measurements
  • MS Office Software (Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of internal combustion engines
  • ASQ CQE certification
