Summary:
The Press Brake Helper supports the Press Brake Operator in the setup, operation, and maintenance of press brake machinery used to bend and form metal components. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in metal fabrication and manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up press brake machines by preparing tools, dies, and materials.
- Load and unload metal sheets or parts onto the press brake.
- Support the operator in aligning and positioning materials accurately.
- Clean and maintain work area and equipment before and after shifts.
- Follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Help with routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication and cleaning of the machine.
- Organize and stage materials for upcoming jobs.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic understanding of shop math and measurement tools (e.g., tape measure, calipers).
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or metalworking environment is a plus.
