Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician – Level A (Advanced-Level)- 3rd shift

Mon - Fri, 11 PM- 7 AM, Pay is dependent on results of an assessment (25.00- $35.16) + $1/hr differential

The Level A Technician leads complex maintenance and automation projects, performs advanced diagnostics, and supports system upgrades and integration. This role is critical to plant reliability and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced troubleshooting and repair of complex systems
  • Full PLC diagnostics and minor programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
  • Maintain SCADA and HMI systems
  • Robotics and automation systems support
  • Perform advanced electrical diagnostics and controls work
  • Manage maintenance projects and system upgrades and retrofits
  • Technical training and development of team members
  • Communicate and assist with outside vendors
  • Perform electrical panel work and wiring (all voltages)
  • Install electrical infrastructure (all voltages)
  • Plumbing repair and installation (black iron pipe, PVC, Pneumatic tubing)
  • Calibration of sensors and instrumentation
  • Maintain HVAC systems
  • Fabricate and weld complex components (MIG/Stick)

Qualifications

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Expertise in PLC programming, automation, and controls
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strategic thinking and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently and mentor junior technicians
  • Time management and reliability

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of industrial Ethernet, instrumentation, and energy systems
  • Compliance with NFPA, NEC, and OSHA standards
  • Strategic thinking and continuous improvement focus
  • Networked control systems and industrial Ethernet
  • Advanced instrumentation and process control
  • Expertise in PLC diagnostics and minor programming
  • Expertise with VFD’s, hydraulics and root cause analysis
  • Expertise in HVAC, plumbing and welding
  • Expertise in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
  • Expertise in hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting
  • Strong reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
  • Strong documentation and reporting abilities
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving mindset
