Position Type: Full TimePosition Overview:
Wausau Tile is seeking a mechanically skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our Maintenance team on 3rd Shift. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of manufacturing equipment. Ideal candidates will have experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems. Journeyman or Apprentice-level experience is preferred, and Wausau Tile supports continued training and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble malfunctioning systems.
- Perform light fabrication and equipment modifications as needed.
2. Preventative Maintenance (PM)
- Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks including inspections, lubrication, and part replacement.
- Accurately document all completed tasks and equipment conditions on work orders.
3. Equipment Enhancements & Support
- Implement safety and efficiency improvements to machinery or processes.
- Assist with equipment shutdowns, rebuilds, and system upgrades.
- Support assigned projects or lead them when required.
4. Communication & Teamwork
- Collaborate with peers and supervisors across shifts to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain clear documentation and timely reporting of all work completed.

Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with maintenance experience.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
- Journeyman or Apprentice-level experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Self-directed and able to work effectively alone or as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and reaching.
- Repetitive use of hands, shoulders, and back.
- Ability to safely use stairs, ladders, and work in varied environmental conditions.
