Job Description

1.0 Reports To

Supervisor/Manager

2.0

Under the direction of the supervisor or manager the group leader is responsible for the supervision of their assigned work area and employees. They are responsible for ensuring adherence to safety, quality, quantity, housekeeping, and company policies, procedures and standards.

3.0 Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, preventative maintenance, safety and housekeeping of the assigned work area and meeting established quality and quantity standards.
  • Organizes work for smooth operations, analyze problems, implements solutions and reports process and equipment problems.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate employee performance information, production and attendance records, training progress records, and other records as required.
  • Supports and assures that all established rules, regulations, polices, and procedures are followed.
  • Suggests and supports affective scrap and cost reduction programs.
  • Performs a variety of activities requiring communication and support to other departments.
  • Responsible for ensuring that technicians are properly trained.
  • Must be able and capable to work any shift assigned and must be able to work overtime as required.
  • May be assigned to different departments or work situations as may be required.
  • Should be able to perform all other jobs in assigned work area in case of employee absence or additional requirements.
  • May be required to travel on company business.
  • Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.

4.0 Qualifications

  • High School education or GED.
  • Sufficient dexterity movement to perform all other jobs in assigned work area.
  • Capable of operating and maintaining a variety of machinery, tools and equipment.
  • Must be able to lift loads of up to forty (40) pounds.
