Job Description

Are you a 3rd or 4th-year apprentice looking to fast-track your career with an industry leader? Our client, IOR is seeking a motivated Heavy Vehicle Diesel Fitter Apprentice to join the team. You will work on a diverse range of fixed and mobile plant equipment, ensuring their fleet stays safe and reliable.

This position offers hands-on experience under the guidance of skilled mentors. You will play a vital role in keeping heavy vehicles running smoothly.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform maintenance: Carry out routine servicing, oil changes, and filter replacements.
  • Inspect vehicles: Conduct regular checks to catch and fix issues before they cause breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot problems: Find and fix mechanical and electrical faults in heavy diesel systems.
  • Ensure safety: Follow strict safety rules to protect yourself and your teammates.
  • Work together: Collaborate with a supportive team to minimize vehicle downtime.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Current 3rd or 4th-year apprentice in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology
  • Skills: Strong technical ability and a sharp eye for detail.
  • Attitude: A reliable team player with a strong commitment to workshop safety.
  • Drive: Someone eager to learn, take on feedback, and finish their trade qualification strong.
