3rd Grade Teacher – 2026–2027 School Year
Location: 7301 E Baseline Road, Mesa, AZ 85209
Compensation Range: $48,334.25 – $54,571.89 (DOE)
Start Date: Summer 2026
AMS is seeking a dedicated 3rd Grade Teacher to join the AMS Power Campus and help prepare scholars for key academic milestones in upper elementary school.
The 3rd Grade Teacher will focus on strengthening reading comprehension, writing proficiency, and multi-step mathematical reasoning, while preparing students for increased academic rigor and state assessments.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Student Achievement
Deliver rigorous instruction aligned with Arizona academic standards and AMS curriculum.
Support students in developing reading comprehension, writing skills, and mathematical problem-solving abilities.
Use assessment data to monitor student growth and provide targeted support.
Classroom Culture & Student Development
Create a structured and engaging learning environment.
Implement PBIS strategies to support student behavior and accountability.
Collaboration & Professional Growth
Participate in professional learning communities and staff development opportunities.
Family Engagement
Maintain open communication with families and support strong home-school partnerships.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education or Elementary Education
OR
Valid Arizona teaching certification
OR
Minimum of three (3) years of K–12 teaching experience
Additional requirements include:
Strong classroom management and instructional skills
IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
