Job Description

At Jumia, mobility is at the heart of our people development approach. This job board helps us establish more transparency in available opportunities in the company to promote mobility.

You need to follow simple guidelines:

  • Before applying, make sure you discuss the opportunity with your direct manager and that both of you agree that this is positive for your development (written approval from your direct manager will be required).
  • Apply with your Jumia e-mail.

As our 3PL Manager, you will lead and optimize end-to-end partner operations across Jumia’s third-party logistics network, ensuring high-velocity inbound fulfillment and cost-efficient distribution. In this role, you will act as the key strategic bridge between Jumia and our logistics partners—driving operational excellence, strict SLA compliance, lean process improvements, and transparent financial governance to support our fast-scaling e-commerce ecosystem.

What you will be doing:

  • Operations & Partner Governance: Oversee daily operations across our third-party logistics network, leading monthly and quarterly business reviews (MBRs/QBRs) to drive partner accountability and high service standards.
  • Performance & KPI Management: Track and optimize core fulfillment metrics - including on-time fulfillment, inventory accuracy, labor productivity per unit/hour, and safety compliance.
  • Financial & Billing Oversight: Manage annual operational budgets, audit 3PL invoices for accuracy, and investigate chargebacks to maintain tight cost controls.
  • Continuous Improvement & Lean Practices: Spearhead lean initiatives and workflow improvements across 3PL facilities to reduce operational bottlenecks and eliminate process waste.
  • Cross-Functional & Vendor Leadership: Partner with internal supply chain, transport, and commercial stakeholders while directly driving performance evaluation, training, and operational alignment for 3PL partner teams.
  • Compliance & Business Continuity: Ensure all partner facilities comply with regulatory and corporate safety policies while executing robust business continuity and sustainability plans.

What we are looking for:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven track record in logistics or warehousing operations (Distribution Center/WMS planning, inbound freight, inventory flow, or supply chain analytics).
  • Execution & Productivity: Experience managing cross-functional projects, with a strong grasp of structured productivity frameworks (such as Work Breakdown Structures/WBS).
  • Leadership & Influence: Strong vendor management capability with the gravitas to lead, coach, and influence external operational teams.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional written and presentation skills, comfortable facilitating group reviews and communicating data-driven insights to senior leadership.
  • Tool Proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive).

Deadline for applications: 30-11-2026

Rounds of Interviews: 1. HR Screening; 2. Technical interviews with potential managers
