What’s the role

The purpose of the 3P Planner role is to plan and manage all finished goods to support daily bulk and pack production requirements. This role plays a key part in maintaining a high Customer Service Index (CSI) and achieving critical supply chain metrics, including inventory targets (Days Inventory Outstanding – DIO) and On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance.

The 3P Planner is also expected to provide coverage across other areas within the US network as needed and collaborate closely with the End-to-End (E2E) Performance Team to meet overall team objectives.

In this role, you will work closely with plant operations teams to ensure order availability and proactively communicate any delays or changes that may impact product supply to relevant stakeholders.

While the role is primarily operational and tactical in nature, the successful candidate should also demonstrate strong commercial awareness, particularly in balancing inventory levels with business targets for finished goods.

  • Analyze production performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), identify issues impacting results, and recommend improvements.
  • Demonstrate strong influencing skills to meet aggressive deadlines, including presenting well-supported proposals when trade-offs or critical decisions are required.
  • Learning and applying the rapid response planning system within daily operations and standard workflows.
  • Adapting to evolving customer expectations across multiple market segments, along with the complexities these changes introduce.
  • Supporting new product launches and transitions by coordinating closely with PLM and cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations.
  • Balancing competing priorities, particularly between inventory targets and customer delivery commitments.
  • Collaborating effectively in a virtual environment with Line of Business Partners (LOBPs), production schedulers, and colleagues based in Houston.

What you bring

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in planning and supply chain
  • Engineering background is an advantage.

  • Ability to make timely decisions despite incomplete or changing information.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis and able to implement corrective actions quickly.
  • Customer- and commercially focused mindset.
  • Demonstrates proactive thinking to anticipate, adjust, and improve the supply chain before disruptions occur.
  • Self-starter with the ability to apply Continuous Improvement (CI) principles (prior CI training is an advantage).
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems, including SAP APO / GSAP, Rapid Response & Microsoft Excel.
