Our BIM team, has the mission of assisting all projects (in the submission, design-construction and execution phase), to take advantage of the information available to them, by using digital tools to enable it to be utilized to its full potential. The team has developed several effective BIM processes with the sole mission: to help their colleagues from different EBC teams (estimation, project execution, legal, quality) and enable them to achieve objectives more easily.

RESPONSIBILITIES

BIM Tools Management and Governance

  • Define optimal workflows using modeling software and applications in accordance with project objectives.

  • Act as the subject matter expert for modeling, management, and visualization applications.

  • Maintain template files and families, and manage the electronic publishing of files.

  • Work within a cloud-based collaborative environment.

Modeling and Content Creation

  • Initiate the modeling mandate in collaboration with the BIM Coordinator or BIM Manager.

  • Create and maintain 3D models in accordance with approved procedures and the project's modeling and

  • codification standards.

  • Create model views following a standardized view template; produce purged 3D view publications, engineering-level drawings, and DWG exports.

  • Create project-specific BIM objects as required.

  • Organize, export, and keep validated input data up to date so that it can be used in other processes.

  • Perform all other related tasks in Revit / Civil 3D and detail views in accordance with project guidelines.

BIM/VDC Coordination and Support

  • Facilitate the implementation of BIM processes in collaboration with the project BIM Coordinator.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams to maintain the level of management and standardization of working files, as well as inputs and outputs.

  • Provide user support for 3D model visualization and design-sharing standards to internal and external teams.

  • Keep the BIM Manager informed of project progress and requests.

Construction Support and Site Management

  • Deliver construction support deliverables, including:

  • Clash detection Support

  • Site logistics plans and modeling

  • 2D and 3D phasing plans and modeling

  • Excavation plans and modeling

  • Shoring plans and modeling

  • Rebar plans and modeling

  • Lifting/crane plans and modeling

  • Temporary works plans and modeling

  • TQC (Quality Control Testing) presentations

  • Participate in volume, surface, and linear quantity take-offs, as well as quantity validation and change tracking.

Standards, Processes, and Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in the creation of BIM standards, processes, and tools; ensure compliance with modeling workflows and standards within the team.

  • Ensure project closeout and post-mortem reviews in order to share lessons learned within the modeling team.

  • Contribute to technology monitoring efforts that benefit current and planned projects and operations as directed by technical management.

  • Assist in the development of technical documentation as needed.

  • Troubleshoot issues within the BIM modeling environment, or collaborate with the project or corporate team to identify quick and effective solutions.


Requirements


  • Technical Skills & Specific Knowledge;

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D — required;

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit — required;

  • Knowledge of Bentley software suite — asset;

  • Knowledge of civil / infrastructure / structural domains — required;

  • Excellent spoken and written English — required;

  • French language skills (spoken and written) — asset, not required.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role, which is
$60,000–$105,000.

Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity. Base salary is one component of EBC’s comprehensive total rewards offering, which may include performance-based incentives, extended health and wellness benefits, retirement savings programs, and career development opportunities.
