Role objective and areas of focus.
The primary aim of the 3D Artist is to create impactful visual depictions of diverse products that align with the essence and aesthetic of our brand identities and enhance our digital and print collateral.
The role will be an integral contributor to the company’s success, maintaining close relationships with stakeholders across the Directed Group, external parties and working cross functionally to provide support for the successful delivery of projects.

The role will focus on the following areas:

• Modelling
• Product Visualisation
• Animation
• Post-Production

Key responsibilities
Responsibilities of the 3D Artist will include, but are not limited to:

Modelling

• Create accurate 3D models based on specifications, photographs, drawings, or CAD.
• Modify and prepare existing 3D CAD for visualisation.

Visualization

• Collaborate with the Design Manager, designers, and other stakeholders to understand the vision and requirements for the product's visual representation.
• Develop and apply physically accurate materials to replicate the real-world appearance of materials and finishes.
• Configure lighting environments to illuminate products in a manner that emphasises and elevates material, geometry, and features.
• Position and configure the camera to effectively frame products.

Animation

• Collaborate with the Design Manager, and Videographer to understand the vision and requirements for the product's visual representation.
• Create animations to showcase product design, functionality, assembly, or features. This can involve highlighting design and materiality, demonstrating how parts move, or how the product is used.
• Optimise models, scenes, and settings for efficient rendering times without sacrificing quality, especially when creating animations.

Post-Production

• Enhance rendered images or animations after the initial rendering process, by adjusting colours, contrasts, and visual elements to achieve impactful, physically accurate images.
• Compositing multiple elements or scenes, including photography and generative AI, to create complex visuals.
• Optimise images for different platforms, resolutions, and formats.
