Overview

The Pharmacy 340b Analyst/Auditor will be responsible for analysis, investigations and special projects associated with 340b drug program. This person will assist with development of monitoring protocols and ensuring effective internal controls for the program.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

· Developing a thorough understanding of the split-billing/third party administrator systems and the functions to be preferred.

· Conducting weekly and monthly 340B audits of contract pharmacies and in-house pharmacies to verify adherence to the 340B program guidelines and policies, and providing results to the Business Manager of Pharmacy Services.

· Development an updating 340B program reports detailing volume, financial value, and other metrics as needed to accurately depict findings from audits to be shared with the pharmacy leadership team.

· Managing multiple audits accurately and consistently tracking and reporting outcomes for compliance and audit purposes.

· Developing and/or maintaining reports that can be used to educate staff and assist management in tracking overall 340B program compliance and finacial impact to the organization.

· Reviewing outpatient retail pharmacy claims for 340B appropriate accumulations.

· Helping oversee inventory management of 340B purchased items in physical inventories, virtual inventories, automated-dispensing cabinets, and contract pharmacies.

· Handling all invoices related to contract pharmacies for payment.

· Evaluating potential new contract pharmacy partners for Huntsville Hospital while managing existing contracts and suppliers.

· Identifying and implementing cost saving opportunities by working closely with pharmacy leadership team.

· Cross training with other systems hospitals 340B platforms and EHRs

· Attending educational trainings including conferences, webinars, roundtables as necessary.

Qualifications

Education Required

· Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management or a similar field of study required.

Education Preferred

· Additional degrees, business training experience and/or certifications may be combined to meet minimum qualifications.

License, Certification and/or Registration

· PTCB and/or ICPT certified preferred.

Experience

· 340B and auditing experience a plus.

· Cerner experience preferred.
