Job Description

Job Title: 3 Pillar Specialist (Systems Specialist)

Department: 3 Pillar

Reports To: Assistant Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

This position will provide training / support for Aisin Automotive Casting and coordinate improvement activities for manufacturing

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities*

Ability to communicate and coordinate training requirements within AISIN and AISIN North American Plants

Ability to teach in a classroom and floor side setting

High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point is essential

Must be self-motivated

Ability to communicate at all levels (written and verbal)

Can handle abnormalities and trouble shoot issues

Strong organizational skills

Ability to plan and maintain schedules

Ability to create presentations and present to upper management

Ability to train all levels of team members

Ability to conduct floor side training

Ability to conduct audits and assessments based on established standards

Ability to create and edit videos using computer software

Recommend changes to standard work procedures to meet production needs

Making suggestions to increase efficiency

Maintain proper control of confidential data following company guidelines

May be required to work overtime

Provide positive, professional communication

Ability to develop training curriculums and materials

Participate in the Quarterly North American meetings

Analyze Data and develop improvement activity plans

Summarizing and communicating information, training results, test results, floor side application results

Ability to travel as needed to support business needs

  • Qualifications
  • Education and/or Experience

Required

High school diploma or G.E.D.

Preferred

BA/BS in related field

1-5 years experience in a leadership / teaching role

Knowledge of manufacturing system

Experience teaching high volume manufacturing operations

  • Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Ability to write correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group and large group situations to customers, clients and other members of the organization

  • Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

  • Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Ability to resolve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the member is regularly required to walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The member frequently is required to stand. The member is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The member must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Work Environment

Some dust, noise, oils, greases, grinding debris, compressed air, metal shavings, propane, solvents and occasional heavy lifting.

Exposed to hazardous machinery and/or conditions that could result in injury up to and including a fatality if safety measures are not followed and adhered to.

Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils. The performance of this position normally requires exposure to a typical manufacturing area where under certain conditions require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety shoes and safety glasses.

Open staff room with constant activity and interaction with cross-functional divisions, departments, and sections. Must be able to effectively change tasks at a moment's notice when the situation requires.
