EDUCATION / TRAINING / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Associate’s degree in production or manufacturing engineering; Bachelor’s preferred, or 5 years’ experience with Toyota Production System (TPS).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience in a leadership position and ability to train others.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Able to analyze, optimize, and streamline internal processes and supply chain management, and suggest new workflows to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with data collection and analysis, with proven results from countermeasures.
  • Proficient with 2D and 3D design software.
  • Must be able to pass an Intermediate Excel Proficiency Test.

BENEFICIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Associate’s degree in production or manufacturing engineering; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Project management experience.
  • Six Sigma certification.

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Can use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Some travel required to AISIN NAPs.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where constructive criticism is encouraged.
  • Must be able to promote and support AISIN training curriculums.
  • Must be able to complete assignments within the deadline and budget (if applicable) with satisfactory results.
  • Must be able to operate as an effective team member.
  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all AWA safety policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will promote 3 Pillar and conduct OMC functions such as manhour control, layout control, gorika planning, jishuken promotion, and TPS promotion. The Specialist will train all of the above to various member levels.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide positive, professional communication.
  • Develop training curriculums and materials.
  • Assist AISIN with the planning and implementation of the training curriculum.
  • Conduct audit assessments and evaluations.
  • Participate in the Quarterly North American Trainers meetings.
  • Analyze data and develop improvement activity plans.
  • Summarize and communicate information, training results, test results, and floor-side application results. Work closely with the Aisin NAP training staff to develop a “One Team Best Future” attitude.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with floor-side members to develop systems.
  • Support manufacturing needs and requirements.
  • Perform hands-on improvement activities.

ATTENDANCE / TRAVEL

  • Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
  • Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
