Job Description

Challenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on is seeking a candidate that would be responsible to mig weld automotive lifts and lift components as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Mig weld components for automotive lifts
  • Place components on paint line
  • Drive forklift when needed
  • Assist in implementation of 6S initiatives and activities with an emphasis on safety
  • Suggests and assists in process improvements which assures safety, quality and efficiency is built into the process
  • Assist in assembly and fabrication processes as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ability to be certified in mig welding in the horizontal position
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Basic blueprint reading
  • Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Strong understanding of process interaction
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Understanding general manufacturing
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work extended hours
  • Must be able to periodically lift up to 50 pounds
  • Align with the Snap-on mission statement
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable), Gloves (If Applicable), and Ear Plugs (If Applicable).
  • Must adhere to safety guidelines
