Purpose:                              This position responds to high volume orders by picking, loading trucks and replenishing stock to ensure orders are ready for delivery within the required timeframe for all job functions.
Reports To:                         Warehouse Supervisor
Essential Functions:

- Inspects assigned equipment before using
- - Follows designated checklist
- - Charges pallet jack battery as needed
- - Reports problems to supervisor
- Inspects optical scanner to ensure proper operation
- - Reports problems to supervisor
- Obtain picking labels from designated area or person
- - Verifies they all belong to same delivery route
- Enters correct information into scanner before selection orders (for purposes of productivity and quality auditing)
- Operate various warehouse equipment safely necessary to fill orders with commercially acceptable products from specified locations within the warehouse.
- - Confirm accuracy of selection with optical scanner
- - Puts proper labels on products ensuring labels are visible to delivery driver
- Sets products on pallets
- - Right side up
- - Uses acceptable quality pallets
- - Carefully organizes items so they are safe/secure; placing

- - - Products inside confines of the pallet
- - - Toxic substances correctly

- Delivers pallets to correct shipping location
- - Arrange in order as they will be loaded on trucks
- Meet established standards; productivity, quality, damage and safety
- Maintain safe, organized workplace
- - Follows pallet jack operating requirements
- - Uses designated traffic patterns
- - Puts damaged products in allocated area
- - Removes broken pallets and debris from warehouse isles
- Wears required safety equipment
- - Safety shoes
- Complete all picking and loading activities are completed daily.  (Overtime may be required to ensure activities are completed each day.)
- Complete picking activities in all warehouse locations (Dry, Cooler, Freezer)
- Performs loading, housekeeping, maintenance and other assigned tasks
- Attend all required company meetings.
- Adhere to all safety practices and company policies.

Qualifications:
- Must be able to be certified on all equipment used on shift by Kuna Foodservice.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of ages.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
- Must have sufficient reasoning capabilities to solve practical problems (Ex.: Is product commercially acceptable? Is this the product the customer ordered?)
- Must be able to hear commands given via pick-to-voice application.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures. (From -10 to 55+ degrees)
- Must be able to work overtime, as required.
Physical Demands:
Continuously during the workday:
- Grasps and/or manipulates objects by quickly moving on hand, a hand and arm together or two hands
- Listen  and respond to voice commands -  Wear headset
- Lift / Push Carry 51 to 100 lbs
- Bend / Stoop / Twist / Kneel
- Balance / Ride on Stand-up pallet jack
Frequently during the work day:
- Lift / Push / Carry 0 to 50 lbs
- Reach / Lift above the shoulder 0 to 50 lbs
- Input data on hand-held device
Occasionally during the workday:
- Sit – driving forklift
