Job Description

Position Summary

RBC AeroStructures is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to join our growing 2nd shift team. This position plays a critical role in supporting production and customer delivery requirements by ensuring accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials and products. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments ranging from small parcels to large freight deliveries and raw material bundles.

Schedule

  • Full-Time
  • 2nd Shift (3pm - 11PM)
  • Overtime available as needed

Some Essential Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming raw materials, parts, and supplies; inspect shipments for accuracy and visible damage
  • Unload and process freight deliveries, parcel shipments, and vendor materials
  • Pull materials and components for production work orders and deliver them to designated areas on the manufacturing floor
  • Package, label, and prepare finished products and materials for shipment according to company and customer requirements
  • Build and assemble wooden shipping crates and containers using carpentry and power tools
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions and shipping documentation
  • Organize materials and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Basic math skills, including counting, measuring, and inventory verification
  • Basic computer proficiency: experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory control, or material handling experience
  • Previous experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment
  • Technical school certification or related training is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on concrete surfaces
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and lifting
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds independently; heavier items require team lifting or mechanical assistance
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools, including drills and saws
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment
