Job Description

To inspect and approve all vendor yarn and in-process yarn, as well as inspect and approve all manufacturing processes as needed in the yarn plant.

  • Inspect and approve all vendor yarns.

  • Inspect and approve all yarns processed at the Yarn and Dye Plant.

  • Maintain up-to-date files on all yarns and colors.

  • Maintain standards on all new colors, including vendor yarns.

  • Check with Product development to obtain standards from their markup.

  • Make twist checks on all processes.

  • Inspect air entanglement operation as needed.

  • Set up orders as required

  • Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or QC.

Needed Skills and Abilities

  • Must be familiar with Yarn and Dye plant operations.

  • Must be able to use SAP/computer system.

  • Must be willing to cross-train between plants.

  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to recognize and distinguish colors and shades.

  • Must be able to maintain files.

  • Must be willing to work in a demanding environment with frequent priority changes.

  • Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
