Job Location Grafton, WI

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Production Operator is responsible for operating the machinery as well as inspecting and packaging the product involved in the manufacture of our product in accordance with established procedures and guidelines and perform related duties as required.



Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Sets up and operates a production machine safely in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.
  • Inspect product for flaws.
  • Responsible for final packaging of products, as well as custom or private label assembling and packaging, which could include one or more of the following operations; assembling multi-packs, capping, shrink wrapping, labeling, boxing and assorting.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts as invited.



Qualifications:

Training and

Experience:

  • High School diploma or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Must complete company training in area of operation.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job.
  • Ability to work with hands at a fast pace to assemble, label and package product. Ability to operate automated machinery with attention to details and a ‘safety-first’ mentality.
  • Ability to use basic measuring devices.
  • Ability to take direction.
  • Able to work on a team and move to different task as required by team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to work standing up for 8 hours and lift up to 40 lbs. Ability to be standing and/or moving for long periods of time.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to manufacturing environment, with some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust and atmospheric conditions.
