Press Operator Helper

Reporting Relationships

Position Reports to:Production Supervisor

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Basic Function/Summary

To support pressman in accordance with company procedures.

Qualifications

Essential Functions include the following: Other duties may be assigned

• Prepares next order for press
• Cleans press with Press Operator
• Sets up press with Press Operator
• Maintains supply inventory levels at presses
• Cleans pressroom
• Additional duties as directed by the Pressroom Supervisor

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

High School diploma of GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education an experience.

Skills/Aptitudes:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts; and is exposed to ink vapors.
