The RTE Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment used in the production of ready-to-eat food products. This role ensures product quality, food safety compliance, and efficient manufacturing processes while following all company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate RTE processing and packaging equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Monitor machines during production to ensure proper functioning and product quality
- Perform routine adjustments and minor repairs to equipment as needed
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
- Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and issues
- Follow all food safety guidelines, including HACCP, GMPs, and sanitation procedures
- Conduct routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas
- Identify and report any mechanical issues, safety concerns, or quality deviations
- Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, and quality teams
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or machine operation preferred
- Knowledge of RTE food safety requirements (HACCP, USDA/FDA regulations) preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and follow instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines
- Basic math and documentation skills

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. during quality and sanitation inspections.
- Work is performed in a production facility with exposure to varying temperatures and manufacturing conditions.
- Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is required in designated areas.
