We are seeking a qualified Aviation NDT Inspector Level I specializing at our Landing Gear Services facility in Medley, Florida, to perform non-destructive testing inspections on aircraft components. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety, reliability, and compliance of aircraft landing gear by using approved NDT methods. The NDT Inspector Level I is responsible for ensuring that inspections are performed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, NDT Manual of GA Telesis requirements, as applicable. 2nd Shift Hours are 2:00PM-10:30PM, Mon-Fri.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection and establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
  • Communication: excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
  • Conduct NDT for the acceptance of parts and document the results if a demonstration of proficiency in this ability was included in the practical examination
  • Have a general knowledge of other NDT methods, product manufacturing, and inspection technologies used by the employer
  • Perform Quality Control Inspections as required and record all inspection functions on applicable paperwork in accordance with the customer policies and procedures
  • Analytical skills: must be able to gather information and use data to determine cause and effect for complex problem solving
  • Verify that routine inspections and checks the NDI equipment are accomplished as per the manufacturer’s instructions
  • Ensuring that the inspection tools and equipment, including inspection aids used to perform inspections, are in proper working order and the proper calibration information is affixed
  • Other duties as instructed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Quality inspection, aerospace, aircraft inspection, NDT, Ultrasonic, NDT Level 1
  • Preferred experience can include aerospace, manufacturing, quality inspection, or aviation maintenance backgrounds
  • Basic understanding of NDT methods such as PT and MT preferred
  • Ability to work under the supervision of Level II or Level III inspectors
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and specifications
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Landing gear inspection experience is a plus
