Position Type: Full TimeJob Opening: 2nd Shift Melter/Operator
Shift: 2nd (2:45pm – 11:00pm, M-F)
Are you ready to take the heat and play a critical role in our metal casting process? Join our team as a 2nd Shift Melter and help us shape quality from the ground up.
As a 2nd Shift Melter you’ll be at the heart of our melting operations —responsible for melting aluminum to exact specifications. Your primary focus will be ensuring the delivery of in-spec metal, at the right temperature, and on time to meet production needs. You will work closely with our Molders to produce high-quality castings that meet our standards and exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform melting operations in accordance with detailed work instructions and quality standards
- Melt aluminum to required specifications using proper techniques and equipment
- Ensure timely delivery of metal at the correct temperature for casting
- Collaborate with Molders and other team members to ensure casting quality
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience in metal melting or foundry operations (preferred but not required)
- Strong understanding of safe work practices in a hot environment
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions
- Team player with a willingness to learn and adapt
