Join Arbor Day Farm as a Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) and help create meaningful guest experiences while advancing the Foundation’s mission right here in Nebraska City.
Your Support System:
You’ll report to the Facilities/Maintenance Manager
You’ll collaborate with leaders and team members across the property including Facilities, Guest Services, Culinary, and Events

How We Work:
Location: Nebraska City, Nebraska Arbor Day Farm Campus
Schedule: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM; includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be available to work at least one weekend day.
Must be able to bend, reach, twist, stand, walk and crouch frequently. Must be able to lift up to 25lbs frequently and 50lbs occasionally.
Our campus is guest-centered and hospitality-driven. Many roles require flexibility to support weddings, conferences, seasonal festivals, and signature events. We work hard, support each other, and believe if we’re going to do something it’s worth doing well.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform maintenance across the property including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
- Maintain and support key systems such as boilers, pools, fireplaces, and locks
- Complete work orders and preventative maintenance to identify and resolve issues early
- Partner with operational teams to ensure guest spaces are safe, functional, and well-maintained
- Work with vendors and internal teams to address maintenance needs and recommend solutions
What You’ll Bring / Experience or Skills Needed:
- Passion for hospitality, service, and the Foundation’s mission
- Team-first mindset with a willingness to support both guests and team members
- Strong communication and follow-through
- Maintenance or trades experience (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or general maintenance)
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
- Commitment to high standards because good enough is not good enough
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail
