Maintenance Technician

Faribault, MN | Contract or Direct | $28/hr–$38/hr + OT

Konik is partnering with a growing food manufacturing company to add multiple Maintenance Technicians to their team. These positions are critical to supporting plant operations through equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement efforts across a fast-paced production environment.

This is a strong opportunity for mechanically inclined maintenance professionals looking to join a company actively investing in its maintenance team, leadership structure, and plant operations.

Shift:

  • 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician
  • Rotating 12-Hour Shift Maintenance Technician - 6 AM - 6 PM
  • Rotating schedule example: 3-on / 2-off / 2-on rotation with alternating 36-hour and 48-hour work weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections to minimize downtime
  • Diagnose issues with motors, pumps, cylinders, conveyors, and production systems
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, reliability, and efficiency
  • Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic-driven systems and controls
  • Perform welding, fabrication, machining, and general maintenance work as needed
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders within the CMMS system
  • Partner closely with production, quality, and operations teams to support plant performance
  • Follow all food safety, GMP, USDA, and safety procedures within the facility

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of maintenance experience within manufacturing, industrial, or production environments
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to repair and maintain motors, conveyors, pumps, and related production equipment
  • Experience reading electrical schematics and using diagnostic tools
  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
  • Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Technical degree or industrial maintenance training preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
