Frozen Shipping Forklift Job Description

This position is responsible for the moving, of product pallets in the Fresh or Frozen Shipping area. This position is also responsible to monitor and report to management any product accountability discrepancies. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Team members in the forklift operator position are to follow supervisors’ instructions and are responsible for the completion of any task assigned by the shipping/receiving management team.

Requirements:

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Applicants must not have received a written warning or written warning with suspension in the previous 6 months.

Must be able to operate a pallet jack and forklift.

Must be able to input data in Safety Chain program or any other Tyson programs used in the shipping area.

Must be able to use a handheld scanner.

Must be able to complete Freezer/cooler inventory.

Must be physically able to lift up to 85 lbs on an ongoing basis.

Internal applicants must have no more than 3 attendance points to qualify for this job.

Team members in the forklift operator position must maintain less than 10 points.
